The RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a wonderful program of learning and personal growth for non-Catholics (and non-Christians) who wish to become Catholic. Held annually at St. X Church, the RCIA session meet Wednesday evenings beginning in early September. The sessions lead up to the highest Christian feast of Easter and conclude shortly thereafter. At the Easter ceremony, candidates receive the sacraments of initiation: Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation. Christians who are already Baptized will receive full entry into the Catholic faith and receive Eucharist and Confirmation. Practicing Catholics who have never been confirmed can receive the sacrament of Confirmation at this time.
