Confirmation

It is through the sacrament of Confirmation that a person becomes fully initiated into the Catholic Church and receives the seal of the Holy Spirit.  Confirmation provides an indelible spiritual mark on the soul, enabling a person to be a stronger witness for Jesus Christ through a lifetime of worship, prayer, and service.

For junior high students, the preparation for Confirmation occurs within our parish Religious Education classes on Sunday mornings.  We ask that our young people study about all the sacraments, develop a deeper relationship with God, and recognize the work of the Holy Spirit in their lives.  Service to the poor and to the community ought to be a part of one’s personal preparation.

Confirmation is normally celebrated at the St Peter in Chains Cathedral in the spring.

TO ENROLL IN CONFIRMATION CLASSES, call Fr. Jim Ackerman, SJ at 513-721-4045 x1006 or email at  jackerman@stxchurch.org

If you are an adult who has not yet been confirmed, we invite you to consider joining the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) program here at St Xavier.
