Building A New Tomorrow

For countless generations St. Francis Xavier Church has been a consistent presence and spiritual home in Downtown Cincinnati, all of whom have used the parish for their spiritual life.Their prayers and memories saturate the walls of our sacred space.

In recent years the parish has experienced an increased vibrancy manifested in a surge in attendance and ministerial opportunities and offerings. Consistent with this growth, the parish has “uncovered” the richness of the building while upgrading needed enhancements to its infrastructure: cleaning murals in the sanctuary, improved lighting, sound and a new heating and air conditioning system. In light of this rapid growth of new parishioners and its demands, the parish underwent a communal discernment process in 2008 to understand our growth and give clarity to who we are as a Jesuit parish.The fruit of this process was enlightening, challenging and consoling, giving us a direction for our future.

The aim of the Magis campaign is to continue to uncover the richness of the physical plant while expanding it.
