Tuesday September 18, 2018

RCIA Classes will begin and meets Tuesday nights each week from 7 to 9 pm until Easter. We had a great class of 17 people come into the Church at the recent Easter Vigil. It is a great experience for everyone. We also welcome parishioners’ involvement as members of the RCIA Team and/or as sponsors for the class members.

History of CATHOLICS IN CINCINNATI:  Rev. David J. Endres, Ph.D will be leading a 4 week presentation on Cincinnati Catholics at St. Mary, Hyde Park on September 24, October 1, 8 & 15 from 7 to 9 PM. There is no charge for the Cincinnati Catholic history presentation. Thursday October 18

Parish annual Keeneland Trip – Thursday, October 18  9am to 6pm. $50 P/P includes ticket, program and bus accommodations. We will depart St. X at 9:30 AM and return around 7:45 PM. All are invited to spend the day with other parishioners and friends. There are flyers in church with more information.

SUNDAY SPEAKER SERIES  Come join others from St. X as they learn more about immigration and the Church's teaching on immigration reform. Talk led by Tony Stieritz, Cincinnati Archdiocesan office of Social Action, and Allison Herre from Catholic Charities. 6:00 to 7:30

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY  We meet on the 1st and third Saturday from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM in the Parish Center downstairs.   It is nice to meet and get to know people in this valuable ministry. Please call Diane at the parish office if you are interested to sew, crochet, knit, etc.

St. Xavier Altar Linen Ministry We are looking for volunteers for every other Tuesday morning to assist with laundering and ironing of altar supplies.  Call the office if you would like to join us. Bonus:  good laughs and great friendships!

XAVIER JAIL MINISTRY   St. X has a long history of supporting jail ministry.  We visit the Justice Center or at Talbert House on the 3rdSunday of the month from 9AM until 10:00AM.  Call Bill at 231-9114 or liamjhughes@zoomtown.com
