Monday May 8

OUR PERU SOLIDARITY:  Our group meets again Monday May 8 at 7pm in the parish center.  St Xavier “twins” with La Parroquia de la Virgen de Nazaret (the Jesuit parish of the Virgin of Nazareth) in Lima, Peru.  Our “twinning” relationship is a bridge where God’s love flows in both directions.  Both our parishes learn to care, share and pray for one another.  These meetings are open to anyone.  It is part of our parish-wide commitment to our sister parish in Peru. Mary, Virgin of Nazareth, pray for us.

Friday May 19

“Dinner to Aid Peru.”  Cincinnati Jesuit works will co-sponsor a dinner benefiting the victims of recent floods and landslides in Peru.  Dinner will be held Friday evening at 6pm in the Conaton Board Room in Schmidt Hall on the campus of Xavier University.  Tickets are $50 a person.  St X Parish is trying to fill 3 tables (30 tickets).  For information and tickets, please call Diane in the parish office:  513-721-4045.  Donations may also be made for those unable to attend:  payable to “Bellarmine Chapel.”  Thanks to the many in solidarity with Peru to help out this cause.

TALK: Understanding the Mass:  Come join theology expert Dr. Ryan Ruiz, professor of liturgy and sacraments at the Athenaeum of Ohio, for his presentation: “Mass Appeal – Understanding the Liturgy.”  6:00 Sunday, May 21 following 5pm Mass.  Pizza and salad served in the Parish Center.

Friday June 16

Reds Game.  Join your fellow Saint Xavier parishioners and friends as the Reds take on the Dodgers Friday June 16. We have 100 tickets all together and in a great location to see the post- game fireworks.  A special price of only $10 each is available for a limited time.
